August 6, 2004: At Nashville, Tennessee, teenage prostitute Cyntoia Brown murders Johnny Allen.
Allen may have been murdered after midnight, ie in the small hours of August 7, but that is of no importance.
Brown did not accuse Allen of rape either at the time or later, but in November 2017, celebrities with more money than brains (including at least one with no talent) began hawking a revisionist version of her story around social media.
The tweet pictured below is typical. So what really happened? Here are the findings of fact by the appellate court. Very briefly, Brown had a terrible start in life, although she was farmed out at a young age to a woman who can only be described as an exemplary foster mother. In spite of that, she became attracted to the underworld drug culture and began prostituting herself, or if you accept her version of events, she was pimped out. On the night of August 6, 2004, she met the 43 year old Johnny Allen and went home with him for sex. In Tennessee, the age of consent is an unbelievably high 18, so technically this would have been statutory rape. Call this encounter rape if you like. I don’t.
We have only Brown’s account of what happened next, and the forensic evidence, which trumps her lies. She shot and killed this guy because she could, and robbed him into the bargain.
Brown did not testify at her trial, and her subsequent pronouncements are totally self-serving. No one should be deceived by her little girl lost act. For example, in her interviews, which you will find on-line, she talks interminably about her pimp. If she had shot and killed him, she might have been deserving of some sympathy, instead, she murdered a stranger, a man who had done her no harm and had even taken her into his home, a lonely man who wanted some female company, probably more than he wanted sex, and was prepared to pay for it.
Incidentally, the man she calls her pimp may have been less of a pimp than one of those toxic males to whom so many women – of all classes – are drawn. She alludes to him as Kut-Throat or Kut, which sounds a lot more sinister than his real name, Garion McGlothen. A small time professional criminal, he was murdered in March 2015. We have only Brown’s word that he mistreated her, and he was never charged with any offence against her.
The issue of Brown’s parole is another matter. Although she was also a teenage prostitute, the case of murderess and serial false rape accuser Emma Humphreys is not really comparable.
