April 21, 2010: College student Maria Rosario Brustenga-Vilaseca tells her doctor she was raped two days previously in a Farnham park. The doctor contacts the police. Shortly, a man is arrested but released without charge. After CCTV catches her out, she claims to have been raped at a different location by someone else!
On June 16, 2010, the BBC reports that Maria – who isn’t named – is to appear before Guildford magistrates charged with perverting the course of justice. It remains to be seen if Maria really had been a virgin before having sex at a party, but if she was, that could explain the vaginal bleeding.
